Happy Fall!

Hopefully you are enjoying the colorful leaves and cooler weather. Remember there is no school for students Thursday, October 23rd, Friday, October 24th, or Monday, October 27th. Relax and have a wonderful break! Next week in the library we will have more new books. As soon as they come in, we'll get them posted to this blog and the library webpage, so check back - it might even be later today. Next week, there is a district meeting in the library on Thursday (the 30th), to the library will be closed all day.

Banned Book Week

Celebrate your first amendment rights this week by reading a book you love. One of the great things about living in America is that we have rights of intellectual freedom. We, and our parents, get to decide what we should and can read. Some great books have been challenged or banned through the years - including a lot of classics that are a big part of our culture. Don't read a book just because someone challenged it, but read something you enjoy, and enjoy that you have the freedom to pick what that is.
